CPD Policy and Guidance for Members

We aim to promote the highest professional standards and to ensure public confidence in the service offered by all our members. We therefore require members to complete a minimum of 30 hours of CPD annually, at least 20 hours of which must be structured.

An annual CPD audit samples 5% of our members at random to ensure that they are keeping up to date with their CPD requirements. 10% of those selected in the random audit are Chartered members.

Our Training, Education and Careers Development Committee (TECDC) review each selected CPD record and provide detailed feedback. Examples of good CPD are showcased each year in our quarterly magazine, In Practice.

Our Continuing Professional Development Guidance provides further information on CPD and our annual CPD Audit.
