Factors Affecting Distribution and Habitat Selection of Water Shrews

This thesis includes information on habitat management for water shrews and detailed methods of buccal swab sampling which is a minimally invasive and effective way of collecting sufficient amounts of DNA for identifying individual water shrews and can be used to give accurate information about water shrew population densities and dynamics across seasons.

This is part of our Good Practice Guidance for Water Shrews, produced by Phoebe Carter.
