We Need Your Views on the Biodiversity Net Gain – Good Practice Principles for Development!

Biodiversity Net Gain is an approach to development that leaves biodiversity in a better state than before. CIEEM, together with CIRIA and IEMA, has been at the forefront of exploring the potential for a biodiversity net gain approach. In December 2016 we published the first UK Principles on delivering biodiversity net gain through development following extensive consultation with stakeholders. We have since published guidance and case studies for developers.

We are now seeking views on how the ‘Biodiversity Net Gain Good practice principles for development (2016)‘ are working to shape biodiversity net gain delivery and how they may potentially be improved.

If you would like to submit your views on the principles, please complete the survey at the button below. The deadline for responses is 16th December 2019. We very much value your feedback!
