This document sets out guidance on good working practices which highlights the employer’s fundamental role and responsibilities in regards of health, safety and wellbeing of their employees. This document also emphasises the importance of joint responsibility of the employer and employee to ensure the successful implementation of this guidance. Employment law sets minimum standards; good employers go beyond this absolute minimum and also consider what is ethical and how higher standards can actually enhance the performance and reputation of employers.
