BLADE is a multi-disciplinary environmental practice that brings together the expertise of our Ecologists, Landscape Architects and Arboriculturalists.

Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join the team in our Worcester office.
Applicants will have the following:
- A degree in a relevant science or a closely related field.
- Full CIEEM Membership (or be eligible).
- Relevant professional ecological experience.
- Knowledge and experience of undertaking and leading UK Habitat Classification Surveys and protected species surveys.
- Experience of undertaking BNG Assessments and production of Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans (HMMPs)
- Ability to write clear and concise reports including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), mitigation strategies, enhancement plans and European Protected Species licence applications.
- A broad skillset, ideally holding at least 2 protected species licences.
- A thorough understanding of UK and EU legislation, planning policy and best practice.
- Experience in running your own projects and being client facing; able to provide clear advice at the concept/design stage and supporting clients through planning and implementation.
- A full driving licence and have your own car.
