The Environment Manager is a strategic role which leads a team of specialists to advise, identify and prioritise works to support biodiversity, habitat and species management across Forestry and Land Scotland. The post holder will serve as an expert on priority and protected habitats and species in the UK, the will be provide expertise on land management, environmental legislation and forest policy across the organization solving problems with various staff and stakeholders.
This is a national role within the national Planning and Environment team, working closely with regional teams and stakeholders to design economically sustainable UKFS compliant forests of the future, including adapting to climate change and enhancing our landscapes.
To be successful in this role you will need experience of advising and managing issues relating to UK priority and protected habitats and species.
