Student membership is for you if you’re studying on a full-time or part-time course leading to a qualification or degree. Whether you’re studying an ecology or environmental management related subject or not, but you have an interest in this sector, then we welcome you to CIEEM.
We recognise that students face enormous pressure to know what they want to do with their lives and careers. Our Student membership is our cheapest membership option and offers you a chance to explore what we believe is a really rewarding and fulfilling profession to work in.

How do I join?
Becoming a Student member is simple!
- Student membership is open to anyone studying on a full-time or part-time course leading to an examined degree, HND, Foundation degree or equivalent qualification in any subject.
- Student membership lasts for the duration of your qualification and continues for one year after you complete your studies.

What does it cost?
- CIEEM’s subscription year runs from 1st October annually. Please visit the ‘Membership Fees’ page for price information.
- Students enrolled on our Accredited Degree programmes are eligible for free Student membership.
