Consultation response: Making resilience count: the economic value of climate readiness

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) sought views on how the UK Government should conduct a review into the economics of climate change adaptation for the country’s infrastructure. This consultation assesses what such a review should look like, how it should be conducted, and by whom. https://www.ice.org.uk/news-views-insights/policy-and-advocacy/policy-insights/the-economic-value-of-climate-readiness

CIEEM’s response focused on:

  • The interconnectedness of climate change and nature loss.
  • The role of nature-based solutions in climate change adaptation.
  • Highlighting the expertise of our members with regards to nature-based solutions, and their experience of climate change and climate change adaptation in their work.
