This session will look at two very different restoration project:
The practical restoration of Tussac (Poa flabellata) Grass in the Falkland Islands. Tussac grass is a climax community and key habitat for many other species.
The restoration of the Bermuda petrel – for 300 years it was thought to be extinct in 1951 fifteen pairs were found, this talk will take us through the amazing story of the Bermuda Petrel’s recovery.
The talks and discussion session, will inspire anyone with an interest in restoration of habitats or species, with ideas and show you some of the wonderful wildlife of two of the UK’s Overseas Territories.
