Our Response to the Welsh Government’s Draft National Development Framework

Our Wales Policy Group has responded to the recent consultation on the draft National Development Framework.

In our response, we highlight the need for future developments in Wales to deliver nature based solutions for the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis and net gains for biodiversity.

We also iterate the importance of following the mitigation hierarchy in development, ensuring proper assessment of the impacts on biodiversity and that they are first avoided, then appropriately mitigated prior to enhancement.
