As a Licensed Body of the Society for the Environment (SocEnv), CIEEM can offer Full and Fellow Members the option to apply for Chartered Environmentalist status.
Chartered Environmentalists represent environmental professionals working to high standards and sharing their specialist knowledge with others. If you’re leading teams, advising governments and working as hands on practitioners, then Chartership could be for you.
Who can apply?
Admission to the Register of Chartered Ecologists is currently open to:
- Fellow or Full members of CIEEM
How do I apply?
The process for applying for Chartered Environmentalist consists of two parts and both of these must be passed in order to be successful. Both stages are assessed against the requirements of each of the Society for the Environment’s Key Competencies.
- You must first complete a written application within which you must demonstrate to the assessors that you meet the minimum standards of competence required at Stage 1.
- If successful, you will be invited to attend a Professional Review Interview where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate that you are practising at or above the required standard by drawing on your relevant experience as an environmental professional.
