Government announces NSIP BNG consultation and start date

The Government has today announced, along with its working paper on Small Sites BNG, that it is consulting on how Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) will apply to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) in England.

The announcement says that BNG for NSIPs will become operational from May 2026.
