CIEEM Supports National Day of Action for Nature, Parks and Green Spaces (18 April)
CIEEM is supporting the National Day of Action for Nature, Parks and Green Spaces in England and we would like you to take part. This first national day (which it is hoped will become an annual event) is on Saturday 18 April and is a chance to demonstrate your commitment to advocating for nature.
The Community Planning Alliance state:
Across the country, communities are becoming increasingly concerned about the loss of nature, the decline of local green spaces, and the pressures facing our parks, rivers, woodlands and wildlife. These places are essential to our wellbeing, our resilience, and our sense of belonging – yet they are too often overlooked in national debate. This is a non‑partisan, community‑led initiative. It is not aligned with any political party or other campaign. Its aim is to show decision‑makers of all parties that nature matters to the electorate – and that safeguarding green spaces is a shared national priority.
Your action can be big or small, local or national, private or public. Whatever it is, we want to know about it. Use this form to register your action. It could be leading a guided walk or a conservation action event. It might be a public talk or a display. It might be doing your own bit for nature close to where you live. You decide.
Whatever you do, it matters – so thank you. And if you are not in England, please do go ahead and do something anyway.
This map shows the registered actions so far.
Together we can stand up for nature.
