Biodiversity Net Gain from Policy to Practice: A transformative tool for tackling biodiversity loss?

Summary

This one day conference will bring together a variety of stakeholder perspectives to explore the rationale behind the biodiversity net gain (BNG) approach and critical success factors to its delivery. Ecologists, environmental managers, sustainability leaders, planners, developers and policymakers all have a role to play in making BNG a gamechanging new tool in tackling biodiversity loss.

Description

Speakers will address issues such as emerging policy drivers, the key to successful implementation and the challenges of measuring, verifying and attributing ‘true’ net gain. The conference will also explore the wider environmental net gain agenda in the context of the Government’s 25 year Environment Plan.
