Biodiversity in the Spring Budget Statement

Yesterday the Chancellor, Philip Hammond MP, presented his Spring Budget Statement to Parliament.

Within the ‘Clean Growth’ section, he reiterated the Government’s ambition to shift to a clean economy. It included mandating “net gains for biodiversity on new developments in England to deliver an overall increase in biodiversity” and that “to explore ways to enhance the natural environment and deliver prosperity, the government will launch a global review into the Economics of Biodiversity“.
