Celebrating Excellence on CIEEM Accredited Degrees: Student of the Year Awards
CIEEM is delighted to recognise outstanding achievement across our Accredited Degree programmes through our annual Accredited Degree Student of the Year Awards.
CIEEM’s Degree Accreditation Scheme recognises undergraduate and postgraduate courses that equip students with the knowledge, practical experience and field skills most valued by employers in the ecology and environmental management profession. Developed in response to identified skills gaps across the sector, accreditation helps ensure that degree programmes provide the blend of academic knowledge, practical skills and professional relevance needed for successful careers in ecology and environmental management.
Accredited Degrees are independently assessed against criteria developed with employers and practitioners, giving students confidence that their course reflects the needs of the profession. Alongside a strong grounding in ecological and environmental theory, accredited programmes place particular emphasis on practical experience, helping students develop the field, analytical and communication skills that employers are seeking.
Accreditation also benefits universities by demonstrating their commitment to delivering high-quality, professionally relevant education. Students studying on accredited programmes can access free CIEEM Student Membership, connecting them with professional networks, events, resources and careers support throughout their studies.
Each year, every CIEEM Accredited Degree programme is invited to identify a student who has made an exceptional contribution during their studies. Whether through academic excellence, dedication in the field, commitment to their peers, or outstanding professional potential, these students exemplify the qualities that Accredited Degrees are designed to foster.
The students featured below have been selected by their universities as their programme’s Student of the Year, recognising their hard work, achievements and contribution to the learning community. Together, they represent the talent, passion and commitment that will shape the future of ecology and environmental management.
We are delighted to celebrate their success and congratulate all of this year’s Student of the Year recipients.
