CIEEM has written to congratulate Rt Hon Angela Rayner MP on her reappointment as Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, setting out how ecological expertise supports the Government’s priorities on economic growth, housing delivery, clean energy and climate adaptation. The letter makes the case that early ecological input speeds up planning and avoids legal delays, and requests a meeting to share evidence that housing delivery and nature recovery can go hand in hand.
