CIEEM has written to Defra Secretary of State, the Rt Hon Dr Thérèse Coffey MP, regarding the under-resourcing of Natural England and the implications for licencing, development and the economy. We argue that despite the many passionate and committed staff, Natural England is currently unable to perform its duties with the current level of resourcing.

We received a response from Defra in August and are following up with a meeting in September 2023.
