UK biodiversity indicators show ongoing decline
The latest report on UK progress towards meeting the 2010 Aichi biodiversity goals and targets shows an ongoing decline in nature.
Alarmingly, it is not just habitats and species that are declining but “[i]ntegration of biodiversity considerations into business activity” is also listed as deteriorating.
There is some good news however, for bats, afforestation, biodiversity data for decision-making, and long-term improvements for wintering waterbirds.
