Environment Agency Seeking New Board Members

The Environment Agency are now seeking four new members of the Agency’s Board.

As the environmental regulator with responsibility for flood and coastal erosion risk management, the Environment Agency’s purpose is to create better places for people and wildlife – and promote sustainable development.

Members of the Environment Agency Board must be advocates for environmental sustainability and we have the opportunity to make an important difference to action on the climate emergency.

The Environment Agency would particularly encourage BAME, disabled and younger candidates to apply, and are looking to strengthen the Board in the following areas:
• natural environment and ecology
• flood and coastal risk management and/or the engineering industry
• agriculture and/or land management
• finance and investment, particularly in the private sector.
