Asian Hornet Sighting Confirmed Near Christchurch, Dorset

Following recent sightings in Ashford, Kent and Tamworth, Staffordshire, there has been another confirmed sighting of an Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) near Christchurch, Dorset.

Asian hornets do not pose an increased risk to humans but pose a risk to honey bees and pollinating insects.

We continue to urge our members to be vigilant and report any possible sightings.
