Georgina Mace tribute

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Prof. Dame Georgina Mace passing away over the weekend. Georgina was a giant in the ecology profession.

As recently as 2018, Georgina gave the keynote address to the CIEEM 2018 Autumn Conference, with a talk entitled “Towards a Resilient Ecological Network: A Case Study from National Plans in England” (slides and video).

In addition, she was awarded the CIEEM Medal for her “Outstanding, Life-Long Contribution to Biodiversity and Ecosystem Change and Resilience”.
