Addressing the Planning Reform Proposals

Members across England have expressed understandable concerns about recent statements from the UK Government suggesting that nature poses a barrier to growth and development. Read about it here.

In response, our policy team is actively finalising a comprehensive reply to the proposed planning reforms, while maintaining engagement with parliamentary and civil service stakeholders.

Alongside our own response, we are actively working with partners – both in the environment sector and in related sectors – on joint responses to Government.

Additionally, we are developing resources to support members to engage with, and will be presenting evidence to the Environmental Audit Committee next week.
