We need your help!

We’re growing…

Last year we received nearly 100 membership applications a month, over 80% of which were successful. This is fantastic news for CIEEM, for the profession and for the environment, because the louder our voice, the more sway we’ll have with decision makers and the greater our chances of achieving positive change. Because whatever happens on 29 March, we still have a job to do.

And getting harder to ignore…

Recently, our profile has risen hugely. We’ve been invited to give evidence to Select Committees and have had two opportunities to discuss our environmental concerns with Sir John Randall, Theresa May’s Environment Advisor. And we need to keep this momentum going…

But we can’t do it alone…

Our amazing volunteers do the equivalent work of 10 full time employees. They’re both the cornerstones and the glue of this organisation. But we need more of them.

Which is where you come in…

We need some help processing such a large volume of applications, so we’re looking for two new members for the Membership Admissions Committee (MAC), who meet quarterly and help to guide our strategic direction. Their job is to review applications for membership and to keep the Membership Regulations and Assessment Procedures under review to ensure that they are fit for purpose.

We’re also looking to add to our pool of Volunteer Assessors, who help us progress applications for a few hours each month. In 2018 their invaluable contribution helped us review a new member application every single day.

Full training and support for both roles will be given, and more information can be found in the Members Area.

Please send your completed application form to Stuart Parks, Membership Manager at stuartparks@cieem.net by 1 March.
