An opportunity for an experienced planning ecologist to be involved in important strategic work for wildlife, working for a compassionate, flexible employer, in a small close-knit and supportive team, in one of the most biodiverse locations in the UK.
Footprint Ecology are one of the leading independent ecology consultancies working across the UK on strategic projects, specialising in assessing and mitigating recreation impacts on protected sites (i.e. SSSIs, SPAs and SACs). Our clients range from Natural England to Local Authorities and wildlife trusts – we do not work for commercial developers. We are seeking a Habitats Regulations professional to work on strategic HRAs of Local Plans, general planning advice and mitigation strategies.
We aim to provide interesting and rewarding employment in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, allowing our employees to develop their skills and interests. We have a generous non-contributory pension scheme, profit related bonus, generous leave and a peaceful work environment in Wareham Forest.
This post is advertised as a permanent full-time position, although applications for part-time work will be considered. Our ideal candidate will work alongside the rest of the team at our Wareham office and would therefore be based in or near Dorset, or be willing to relocate. Nevertheless we are happy to consider applicants who are unable to relocate and would work remotely, with regular visits to the office.
