Principal Biodiversity Officer (Oxfordshire County Council)

Oxfordshire County Council wish to appoint Principal Biodiversity Officer to lead on and deliver our biodiversity and ecological services. The successful applicant will have a strong background of ecological knowledge and experience in applying this within a planning context particularly in relation to minerals, waste, highways development and strategic policy development. A good knowledge of relevant legislation and an understanding of how this is applied to biodiversity and ecological matters will be important. As well as a focus on our ecological planning inputs, the role will provide the technical lead on the County Council’s efforts to improve biodiversity across Oxfordshire.
