We are seeking a highly motivated Minerals and Waste Officer to join our exceptional and growing team.

The Liverpool City Region’s population and economy relies on aggregate and minerals resources and requires sustainable waste management facilities to support economic growth.

Covering the districts of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St. Helens Sefton and Wirral, this post is specifically targeted at ambitious individuals who wish to develop their minerals, waste, development management, EIA and planning careers and play a leading role to develop a circular, climate resilient economy in our City Region.  If you are working towards a professional membership that would also be helpful.

The Minerals and Waste Officer will fulfil a leading role in development management services for waste and minerals planning applications often involving EIA.  The role also has a strong spatial planning role to meet minerals and waste needs including monitoring and review of the Waste Local Plan under the supervision of one of the Environment Managers. The role will involve strategic planning and liaison work, require close working with officers in the local authorities and more strategically amongst other things.  The role therefore offers great opportunity for professional development and a clear career development path to more senior roles within the team as professional experience grows.
