Richards, Moorehead and Laing Ltd, a CIEEM Registered and multi-disciplinary practice established in 1984 has a wide portfolio of work in infrastructure projects, renewable energy projects and residential and leisure development. Our team is composed of Landscape Architects, Landscape Managers, Ecologists, Town Planners, Environmental Practitioners, Archaeologists.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated ecologist to be based in our Ruthin Office, Denbighshire to provide support to the existing ecology team and wider multi-disciplinary team. The role is office-based but will involve working away from home, as well as evening and night-time working on site.
Candidates should have the following level of education and experience:
- Relevant degree
- Full driving licence
- At least 2 years’ experience working as an ecologist
- Experience of undertaking protected species survey, in particular GCN and bats
- Bat call analysis
- Experience of writing ecology reports.
The following skills are considered advantageous, but not essential for the role;
- Holds (or is working towards holding) a protected species licence, in particular for bats
- Member of CIEEM
- Ecological Clerk Of Works experience
- Welsh language skills
- CSCS card holder
