Brady Shipman Martin is a long-established professional consultancy with offices in Cork and Dublin. We provide planning, ecology, landscape architecture, urban design, master planning, and environmental planning services.

The Environmental Consultant role is a full-time position in our Dublin office, working with our existing environmental and multi-disciplinary teams.

YOU

You are a practical, creative and solution-focused environmental consultant who enjoys engaging with complex issues. You will collaborate with planners, landscape architects, ecologists, urban designers, engineers and other professionals in the delivery of sustainable development.

You will have

  • A recognised post-graduate degree in a relevant environmental discipline, as well as membership of a relevant environmental institute, such as IEMA, CIEEM, IAQM or CIWEM, and be Chartered or working towards Chartership;
  • A minimum of five years’ varied experience in a similar consultancy role, including in Environmental Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment and/or Appropriate Assessment and Environmental Planning;
  • A strong understanding of relevant policy and legislation, particularly in Irish and European legislation and case law;
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience;
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; and,
  • An ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
