Horsham District Council are looking for a talented, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our multi-disciplinary specialist team to develop their career as an Ecology Officer.
You will work on a wide range of projects in a busy department which will contribute towards planning decisions that shape the future environment of the District, including the delivery and implementation of biodiversity net gain.
As a career grade post, the successful candidate will be provided with support and training, be that a Masters level qualification, Chartered Membership of the CIEEM, or beyond.
To succeed as Ecology Officer, you will a need a minimum of a degree level qualification in an environmental subject (or equivalent qualification or experience), excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels with the public, Members, and colleagues alike. You’ll also need lots of initiative and good organisational and time management skills.
