Ecologist (RammSanderson)

Location: Derbyshire/ Yorkshire/ Staffordshire

RammSanderson Ecology Ltd. are seeking talented ecologists to join our team and help with our exciting plans for the future. As an Ecologist at RammSanderson, you can expect to get involved with a variety of habitat and species surveys, report writing, assisting with tender and fee estimates, as well as elements of project management.

We have a team of over 30 ecologists (of a total of over 50 staff) working nationally and in Ireland. Our projects are varied, from smaller housing schemes and retail developments involving significant Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, through to nationally important road and rail schemes, garden villages and quarries.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven, previous experience (3-5 years) in a similar role.
  • Have field skills in one or more specialist areas.
  • Working towards, or already holding a bat, GCN or dormouse survey licence.
  • Have prior experience of project management/coordination and/or coordinating surveys.
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to write clear, concise reports.
  • Knowledge of relevant aspects of UK and EU environmental Legislation and national and local planning policies and processes.
  • Associate / Full CIEEM Membership or demonstrable eligibility for entry in the near future.
  • At least one degree in Ecology or a related field.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
