ECOSA are pleased to be seeking an Ecologist to join us at our head office in Hampshire.
As a key member of our team, your enthusiasm for ecology and proactive approach will equip you well in supporting our expanding business.
With the support of our consultants, you will use your expertise to provide sound advice and deliver a wide range of survey and mitigation solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You will carry out a range of field surveys, including extended Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveys, alongside day-to-day office-based work.
You will work on Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, ecological mitigation, compensation and enhancement schemes, habitat management and monitoring plans, and preparing applications for Natural England licences.
You will be able comfortable managing small-scale projects such as private home redevelopment and residential developments. The role may be ideal for an Assistant Ecologist looking to make a step up or an experienced Ecologist looking for a change.
The role is a permanent contract full time to start early 2022. Successful candidates will receive a salary in the range of £20,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience). Part-time or flexible working options would be considered for the right candidate. The position comes with the opportunity to accrue either TOIL or paid overtime over the summer months.
