Leading, Inspiring and Resourcing the UK’s Heritage
The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest funder of the UK’s heritage. The projects we fund create lasting and positive change for people and communities and we believe that heritage has a crucial role to play in contributing to a more equal society.
We are currently recruiting for up to three new Committee members to join the Committee for London and the South from April 2023. If you’re passionate for heritage, nature or community projects, this could be for you.
You can find out more about the job role and apply here.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with an enthusiasm and commitment to heritage and the good outcomes that heritage delivers for communities and people to become involved in the Heritage Fund’s work. The role will give you experience in grant-giving, consensual decision-making. As one of the only UK-wide Lottery funders, being a Committee member will give you a unique insight into how a national organisation works and give you experience of working towards one national strategy whilst also striving to achieve local priorities. If you are excited about helping ensure that heritage is inclusive and accessible to everyone, for now and future generations, then we want to hear from you.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals that have proven experience and expertise in:
- Integrated management, restoration and protection of natural and designed landscapes;
- Heritage-led regeneration and place-making; management of heritage projects and partnerships;
- Community/intangible heritage (including digital); enabling work with diverse audiences
Applications close on 9 December 2022.
Interviews are expected to take place on 24 January 2023.
For a chance to find out more about the role and to ask questions, virtual drop-in sessions are being held on 10 November, 12pm – 1pm and 22 November, 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Places can be booked via Ticketsource here.
